Xiukang Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located in the Xiukang Village of the Lazi County, Tibet. It was named by Sheng Huaibin in 1984. [NOTE: In this same Lazi and Zhongba region, the Triassic Lexicon also has a Xiukang Fm, which is 200 m of limestone and shale, named by Yin Jixiang in 1983; and currently assigned as early Middle Triassic. Therefore, until this potential mis-dating (?) is resolved, then the Triassic one is given a qualifier-suffix in this Lexicon entry = XiukangTri Fm.]
